Psychological Assessments with Attorneys and Courts in Mind
Advanced Psychotherapy Services provides both Individual and Group Treatment for Adults and Adolescents
as well as their families. Treatment is provided with attorneys
and courts in mind. We recognize that the court and law office
can be a very busy place. Part of the focus is to make the task
easier by responding with a service that is reliable, consistent,
affordable, and timely.
A professionally done assessment can quickly and
therapeutically help guide which direction an individual may need to
go. By utilizing
highly recognizable psychological instruments (MMPI-2, MAPP, Beck Depression
Inventory, Staxi-2, Static 99 , and others) we can best determine whether
it is inpatient, outpatient or an educational path that is needed.
It
is important to make these decisions in a timely manner as research indicates
the more quickly an individual is involved in a treatment process, the
more likely he is to succeed. It may also be important to involve family
to help them understand the process and what might be going on with their
family member. Evaluations for court include but are not limited to : sex offender,
immigration (hardship waivers, medical certification for disability exceptions,
asylum, etc.), BWC, and substance abuse.
